POCKY MEN’S
Pocky are Japanese chocolate covered breadsticks that were first introduced in the 1960’s. The name is a an onomatopoeia for the sound it makes when you bite into it, POK-i!
This particular example was the “Men’s” flavor which is dark bitter chocolate. There are no surprises here, it tastes just as you think a chocolate covered breadstick would, which is to say it is delicious. Pick it up and chase it with some strong black coffee.
As a bonus if you eat enough of these babies you might find yourself cooking up some kidney stones. Chinese authorities found some flavors had 17 times the legal limit of melamine, which cause kidney stones, bladder infection and bladder cancer.
